Here are some comments from one of our readers.   Thank you so much for your feedback.

Comment: Good Afternoon,

I thought you might enjoy hearing that my daughter was able to reference your genealogy 101 page for her last history project of the 2017-2018 school year. I apologize for just getting around to reaching out, but I wanted to say that you’ve done a great job here, and thank you very much for putting all of this together and sharing it with us! Bridget and I really enjoyed learning more about genealogy together – so I’m sure your efforts are probably reaching a lot of other curious researchers as well!

I wanted to mention that (name removed) also used another article specifically on Ellis Island and its role in our country’s history and ancestry, which I thought might be of interest to you and those looking for some guidance here! As a parent I think it’s excellent, but I’ve listed it below if you’d like to review. If it’s not too much trouble, would you be willing to include this information? I would love to show my daughter if you find that you’re able – even though it’s too late for any extra credit opportunities, I think she’d still love to know she could contribute. usahistoryancestory.com/genealogy-101

Anyway, I would love to hear what you think about the suggestion! Thanks again, I hope you and your family enjoyed your summer!

Ellis Island Article

All my best,

In reply to:I am curious as to what genealogical records you used to establish a very good narrative. There is some suspicions about John Valantine being born in Germany. I believe he was born in Powhaten, Chesterfield, Virginia.but have not found any records to support this.

I used the Ancestry web site but I do show John Valentine being born in the USA and John Moses being born in Germany. If I caused any confusion then I tend my apologies. Thank you for the comments and coming to our site.
